As its flagship program, CCN launched a monthly publication the HRM Nepal since Asoj 2078 that is dedicated to fostering human capital for development. Starting from the same year, it introduced an event to recognize and promote best corporate practices by instituting the HRM Nepal Awards for Corporate Excellence(ACE) and the HRM Nepal Awards for Distinguished Service (ADS).
The idea of the award was conceptualized in 2019 and was planned for the year 2020. However, due to the pandemic the idea could not be formalized and executed. In 2021, The jury was formed that consisted of prominent people from the academics, corporates and others. The team worked for three to four months to set the award guidelines and give a shape to the idea. The task of collecting information was outsourced to a research company. Our research team shortlisted 10 companies in each category which was forwarded to the jury. Out of the 10 shortlisted companies, 3 companies were chosen to be nominated based on the report from the research. CCN played the role of a facilitator and the idea was executed in 23 Poush 2078.
The event was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and witnessed 700 attendees from both private and public sectors out of 1200 invitees. The jury was formed which had prominent distinguished individuals with extensive experience in their respective fields.
Leveraging the Corporate Club Nepal’s (CCN) rich experience of working with and for the corporate world, the HRM Nepal Awards for Corporate Excellence (ACE) conferred on outstanding institutional and individual performers across various domains in the corporate world as part of its social responsibility. Along with these Awards, the HRM Nepal Awards for Distinguished Service (ADS) were presented to outstanding institutions and individuals in diverse fields, recognizing and felicitating their services to society and its advancement.
The purpose of instituting these Awards is to recognize excellence in corporate policies, programs, and performance, appreciate social and professional contributions, and promote outstanding performance and superior services to society. The Awards aim to encourage the award winners to continue with - and further strengthen - their best practices while inspiring others to achieve the best performance for enriched professional and institutional capital in the country.
