The Sales Summit – Lumbini Province was organized by Growth Leadership Academy (GLA) on March 2 with the theme ‘Staying Ahead in Difficult Times’. After successfully organizing the seventh edition of the Sales Summit in Kathmandu, the steering committee planned to take it to the provincial level and it started with the inaugural event in Koshi Province, followed by this edition in Lumbini. The event was inaugurated by the Mayor of Siddharthanagar, Istiyaq Ahmed Khan followed by a welcome speech from Mohan Ojha, Chairperson, Sales Summit Steering Committee. He briefly discussed the reason behind organizing the sales summit in 2016 and the need for the event to touch base in provinces. Similarly, he also discussed the theme and its relevance in the present context.

During his speech, the chief guest mentioned the strength of Lumbini Province and the ways the economy of the province could be strengthened. He was thankful to the organizing team that such a conference was being held in Siddharthanagar. He emphasized on creating synergy for the development of the municipality, province and then the country. He stated that the young generation is energetic, smart and makes the best use of resources in these difficult times to create opportunities and we should all work together for the betterment.

Objectives

  • Expand the Sales Summit to Provincial Levels: Extend the impact of the Sales Summit by bringing it to various provinces, starting with Lumbini, to engage a wider audience.
  • Address Provincial Economic Strengths: Highlight the specific strengths of Lumbini Province and explore ways to strengthen its economy through innovative sales and business strategies.
  • Foster Collaboration for Regional Development: Promote synergy among local stakeholders, sales professionals, and municipal leaders to contribute to the development of Siddharthanagar and Lumbini Province.
  • Empower the Young Generation: Encourage young professionals to use their energy, intelligence, and resources effectively to create opportunities, especially in challenging times.
  • Promote Resilience in Sales and Business: Equip participants with strategies to stay ahead in difficult economic times, fostering resilience and adaptability in sales practices.
  • Encourage Knowledge Sharing Across Regions: Facilitate knowledge exchange between professionals in different provinces, allowing them to share experiences and strategies for overcoming local and national economic challenges.
  • Strengthen Local Leadership in Sales: Develop local leadership skills in sales and business to drive economic growth and prosperity at the provincial level.
