Business Development Head

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Head to spearhead growth strategies in IT and software services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in client acquisition, IT market analysis, and building partnerships, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions for SaaS, cloud services, custom software development, and IT consulting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies for IT and software solutions, focusing on SaaS, custom development, cloud services, and IT consulting. Identify emerging trends and capitalize on market demands.

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
    Build and nurture client relationships, understanding their IT requirements and delivering customized solutions. Oversee the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to project closure.

  • IT-Specific Market Research:
    Conduct detailed market research to identify business opportunities and potential clients. Benchmark competitors to establish competitive pricing and positioning strategies.

  • Proposal Development and Negotiation:
    Draft detailed proposals, RFPs, and client presentations, emphasizing the company’s expertise in software services. Negotiate contracts to ensure mutual benefits while aligning with company objectives.

  • Collaboration with IT and Product Teams:
    Work closely with software developers and technical teams to translate client requirements into actionable technical deliverables. Customize IT solutions to meet specific client needs.

  • Team Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and train the business development team, equipping them with in-depth knowledge of IT services. Conduct regular sessions to stay aligned with industry advancements and company offerings.

  • Revenue and Sales Targets:
    Expand the client base and ensure repeat business. Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to achieve revenue targets.

  • Technology Partnerships and Alliances:
    Develop and maintain partnerships with technology vendors and stakeholders to enhance offerings and stay competitive.

  • Event Participation and Networking:
    Represent the company at industry events, expos, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

  • Performance Reporting and Continuous Learning:
    Analyze sales performance, track client satisfaction, and present insights to senior management. Stay informed about IT advancements like AI, IoT, and cloud computing.


Academic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience Required

  • 10+ years of experience in IT and software business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
