Business Development Manager - International

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager - International to drive global business growth, foster international client relationships, and expand our logistics operations into new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in international markets for logistics services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to penetrate target regions and achieve revenue growth.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and agreements to secure profitable business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of international projects.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and industry trends.
  • Provide solutions to clients’ logistics challenges, including FTL, LTL, freight forwarding, and express transportation.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and business plans tailored to global clients.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals for international business.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and key performance metrics.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing international client relationships.
  • Experience working with international markets, clients, or trade lanes.

Skills Required:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of global logistics processes, trade regulations, and market trends.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and create strategic plans.
  • Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent presentation and networking skills.
