We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Geologist to join our mining team. The role involves conducting geological surveys, analyzing data, and supporting the extraction process to ensure optimal and sustainable mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of geological principles, proficiency in advanced surveying techniques, and experience in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Analysis: Conduct geological surveys, site assessments, and mapping to identify mineral deposits.
2. Resource Estimation: Analyze geological data to estimate the size, quality, and potential of mineral resources.
3. Sampling and Testing: Collect and analyze rock, soil, and mineral samples to determine their composition and viability.
4. Mine Planning Support: Collaborate with engineers to plan and optimize mining operations based on geological data.
5. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor ongoing extraction activities to ensure compliance with geological plans and standards.
6. Data Interpretation: Use specialized software to interpret geological data and generate detailed reports and models.
7. Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure all mining activities comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.
8. Team Collaboration: Work closely with geotechnical engineers, surveyors, and mining personnel to ensure operational efficiency.
9. Field Work: Conduct on-site inspections, supervise drilling operations, and provide real-time geological guidance.
10. Research and Development: Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate new techniques to improve processes.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience Required:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a geologist in the mining industry.
• Proficiency in geological software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or similar tools.
