Job Description

The Institutional Sales Officer for the hospitality sector is responsible for driving sales and building relationships with hotels, restaurants, and other institutional clients. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and ensuring client satisfaction to achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's growth in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:
    • Identify and target potential institutional clients including hotels, restaurants, and catering services.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
    • Conduct market research to understand client needs and industry trends, and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the hospitality sector.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requirements.
    • Develop customized solutions and proposals to meet the specific needs of each client.
  3. Sales Presentations and Negotiations:
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service to secure agreements and close sales.
    • Follow up on leads and track the sales pipeline to ensure timely and effective deal closure.
  4. Account Management:
    • Manage a portfolio of existing institutional accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
    • Monitor client usage, address any issues, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.
    • Conduct regular reviews and business meetings with key clients to assess performance and discuss future opportunities.
  5. Market Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats in the hospitality sector.
    • Prepare regular reports and forecasts on sales performance, market conditions, and client feedback for management review.
  6. Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeted at the hospitality industry.
    • Coordinate with the operations and support teams to ensure smooth delivery of products and services to institutional clients.
    • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance the company’s presence and build new business relationships.
  7. Customer Service:
    • Ensure that all client interactions are handled professionally and that service standards are consistently met.
    • Resolve any issues or complaints promptly and effectively to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants, or catering).
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its unique sales dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in B2B sales and account management.
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing strategies specific to the hospitality industry.
  • Additional certifications or training in sales or hospitality management.

Work Environment:

  • This role may require travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Work hours may include evenings and weekends, depending on client needs and industry events.
