We seek a highly organized and analytical Legal and Compliance Officer to oversee legal due diligence, regulatory compliance, contract management, and risk assessment. This role is integral in ensuring our investment transactions and operations adhere to all applicable regulations, supporting effective legal structuring for business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments by reviewing contracts, agreements, and all legal documentation.
- Deal Structuring: Assist in structuring investment transactions to ensure optimized legal and financial results.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance across all business activities.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements pertinent to business operations and investments.
- Legal Documentation: Prepare and maintain legal records related to investment transactions, fund documentation, board meeting minutes, and more.
- Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks and offer strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Provide Legal Oversight: Conduct legal research on various matters to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external legal counsel to ensure seamless execution of investment deals.
Academic Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Law (LLM) from a reputable institution.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years in a legal role, ideally in investment management, financial regulations, or private equity, with experience in corporate and securities law.
